The registration fee is $100 per student, regardless of the number of classes taken. This one-time, non-refundable fee confirms your student’s place and helps us maintain our welcoming learning spaces, materials, and administrative support.

Whether you're new to homeschooling or a seasoned parent looking to expand your student's educational experience, CHSRC is here to support you every step of the way. Let’s make this a great year—together!

Registration Process for 2025–2026

At CHSRC, we strive to make registration simple and accessible for all families. Please read the following carefully to understand the process based on your payment method:

ESA Families
We are excited to announce that CHSRC is now an approved ClassWallet vendor! This means families using the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) no longer need to pay full tuition upfront. To reserve your child's spot, only the  $100 per student registration fee must be paid at the time of registration. Per ESA guidelines, this fee can be submitted for reimbursement.

After registration, you will receive an invoice for the remaining class fees, which must be submitted through ClassWallet within one week of receiving the invoice for direct payment to CHSRC.

If you prefer to pay all fees upfront and request reimbursement through ESA, please select the self-paid option during the registration process.

Private Pay Families

No changes have been made to the registration procedures for self-paid families. Please pay the full amount—including the $100 registration fee and all class fees—at the time of registration, and follow the prompts on the registration forms. Families paying out of pocket may also request a payment plan—please contact us for more information. We’re committed to making our programs accessible to all homeschooling families.

Scholarship Assistance

To support families registering multiple children, CHSRC offers a limited number of scholarships to assist with the $100 registration fee. Scholarships are available to all homeschooling families experiencing financial need, regardless of how they fund their education. If the total registration cost presents a financial hardship, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (602) 277-3497 for more information.

Dukes Educational Services (DES) Students:
We’re excited to partner once again with our longtime friend and dedicated educator, Donna Dukes, to offer additional high school classes this year! Donna has been a part of the CHSRC community for over 15 years, serving in various roles—including her current position on our Board of Directors, where she has played an instrumental role in our governance.

Now, we’re thrilled to welcome her as a passionate and experienced high school teacher offering Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Chemistry, and Physics.

For full course details, registration, and payment, please visit the Dukes Educational Services (DES) website. DES is an approved ClassWallet vendor.

Please note: The CHSRC $100 registration fee also applies to Dukes Educational Services classes. This one-time fee covers any number of classes your student takes with either organization.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the registration process, our team is happy to help!

ELEMENTARY SCIENCE CLASSES
K-4TH AND 4TH-6TH

These popular elementary workshops are designed to excite and inspire science exploration in young students all while providing busy homeschool moms free time to spend as they see fit. Each workshop is a self-contained science session.  During each class, students will receive an introduction to the topic, participate in a lab/project, receive a summary sheet explaining the topic, and a take-home activity sheet to do at their leisure. Mrs. Borg's workshops are a fun, hands-on experience.

CHSRC is a Christian organization and our scientific workshops are fact-based and considerate of different viewpoints. The elementary grades do not cover evolution.

What is the difference between the K-4th and 4th-6th workshops other than time and grade level? The older (4th-6th) workshops will have more writing and a more complex variation of the same topic. If you are unsure which grade level to choose for your student, please feel free to contact Mrs. Borg at

sciencewithkaren@gmail.com for recommendations.

All elementary classes are held monthly on Thursdays or Fridays. Each class requires a minimum of seven students. Questions can be sent to info@chsrc.org.

Topics include: seeds, color & light, birds (focus on owls for 4th-6th), seasons, sound, insects, nervous system, habitats, ocean invertebrates

MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE CLASSES
6TH-8TH

Get ready to investigate the world like a real scientist! This engaging class introduces middle school students to the fascinating field of forensic science while gently preparing them for the rigor of high school coursework.

Each session stands alone and focuses on a specific area of forensic investigation. Students will explore topics such as fingerprint analysis, crime scene documentation, fiber and hair examination, handwriting comparison, and more. Every class includes a short introduction, a hands-on lab or project, small group collaboration, a take-home summary sheet, and a fun puzzle activity to reinforce learning at home.

Led by Mrs. Borg, these interactive workshops make science exciting and meaningful—offering students the chance to think critically, solve problems, and explore the intersection of science and mystery.

All workshops are held monthly on Thursdays. Each class requires a minimum of seven students. There are two times available, 10:00-12:00 and 1:30-3:30. Questions can be sent to info@chsrc.org.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH CLASSES
6TH-8TH

The goal of this class is to immerse middle school students in the Spanish language in a fun, engaging, and interactive way. Designed with connection and creativity in mind, students will read, write, and hold conversations—entirely in Spanish as much as possible.

Each class will center around a different theme and will feature games, skits, and hands-on activities to spark both learning and laughter. We believe that the more fun it is to learn a language, the more likely students are to stick with it—and love it!

All Spanish classes are held monthly on Thursdays. Each class requires a minimum of seven students. Questions can be sent to info@chsrc.org.

This class is a great opportunity to build confidence, make friends, and develop practical Spanish skills in a playful and welcoming environment. Come ready to learn, connect, and have mucho fun—¡en español!

To make this class accessible to more students, it is scheduled between Mrs. Borg's two Thursday Middle School Science workshops—allowing students from either time slot to participate without conflict.
