An Original Dimensional
In this workshop, students will learn how to take their original drawing and turn it into a 3-dimensional stuffed object! They will create their drawing and learn to turn it into a pattern. They will then cut, sew their creation from felt using hand sewing, and stuff their piece. Lastly, they will decorate and embellish their creations and walk away with a one-of-a-kind piece of 3-dimensional art! This workshop offers great opportunity not only to learn new skills but also how to think through a step-by-step and gain problem solving skills!
Please note, students must know how to thread the needle on their sewing machine to attend this class.

Altered Composition Notebook & Intro to Visual Journaling
The standard composition notebook is known for it’s sturdiness but not it’s beauty. Students in this class will collage and alter the covers making their journal a thing of beauty and/or coolness! They will also learn about ‘visual journaling’, the use of images rather than words as an expression of emotion and experience. There will be discussion of symbolism and color representation for exploring emotions and time allotted for putting these concepts into practice. All materials supplied. Students need to bring lunch.

This is not your ordinary watercolor class! Students will learn how to paint watercolor images from nature that will be used as collage elements to create a dimensional watercolor painting. Students will be painting and cutting out images, detailing them with pen and ink, creating a composition with their elements, and learn how to add unexpected things into their painting creating a multi-dimensional watercolor painting. We will also explore possibilities of using items such as text, decorative or handmade paper, dried pressed flowers, skeleton leaves, and more to incorporate into your paintings.
