President's Volunteer Service Award

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.

This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too

CHSRC is proud to be a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award program. Recipients can receive an official lapel pin, personalized certificate of achievement, and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States. Volunteer hours are also a great addition to your high school transcript.

Criteria for Recognition

  • Awards will be earned based upon eligible volunteer service during the 12 month period beginning September 1st and ending on August 31st each year.

  • Volunteer service must be documented through the CHSRC administrator.

  • Volunteers with specific service goals are urged to check their hours regularly.

  • Court-ordered community service does not qualify for this award.
