GET TO
KNOW THE CANDIDATES: 2008 Elections
This is an equal
opportunity posting of candidates for the 2008 elections.
We will do our best to link to only
factual information on the office seekers. Anyone is welcome to
submit sites to add to the collection for federal officials or Arizona
positions. PLEASE, no
character assassination sites, demeaning messages or unfounded assertions.
They will not be posted. Please list the office sought by each person and
the relevant web links and the main topics on the links in the format
below:
ARIZONA PRIMARY: February 5, 2008. If you are not registered to vote, do so now. Host a voter registration drive in your church, school, and/or neighborhood. To make your voice heard on February 5, you must be registered to vote by January 7. That means
voter registration drives need to be held now before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays grab our attention and focus. Center for Arizona Policy has all the tools you need for voter registration. To get a packet, call 602-424-2525, or request a copy on the CAP web site at www.azpolicy.org.
As you've no doubt noticed by now, social conservatives are split several different ways about who to support in the presidential election. Many believe this vote for president may be one of the most important of our times.
John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton - were asked this question at a debate last week: "Would you be comfortable having this story (King and King) read to your children
as part of their school curriculum?"
(Comments excerpted from Cathi Herrod's columns for Center for Arizona Policy.)
